Lazy Dog Apron Featuring an Orange is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
lazy dog apron features the phrase I'M NOT LAZY, I'm just on POWER SAVING MODE above a cartoon shiba inu lying down. The joke reframes resting as energy conservation rather than laziness. Wearing it signals to others that you value rest without apology. Dog owners and fans of chill humor read this and feel understood.
The Graphic, Piece By Piece
A cartoon shiba inu lies horizontally in the center of the panel, rendered in orange and white fur tones. The first line of text appears directly above the dog's head, while the remaining words stack beneath its paws. The lettering mimics a casual handwritten style in white to contrast with the warm coat colors. This layout frames the sleeping animal as the visual proof of the statement. The entire composition relies on the visual pun that equates a napping dog with a device in low-power state.
Days You Would Grab It
Dog lovers notice the specific breed coloring and relaxed posture immediately. Gifting this lazy dog apron works perfectly for birthdays or occasions for sisters, brothers, and friends who cherish their pets. Everyday situations include cooking a slow meal or taking a quiet break where you want to signal that you are recharging rather than idle.
Before Buying
What are the pocket dimensions and fabric composition? The apron uses 10 oz cotton canvas which starts stiff but softens after two to three washes. Each of the two front pockets measures 8 x 7 inches and is split in the middle for easy access.
How does the ink hold up to washing? The print is designed to withstand regular laundering because the cotton canvas absorbs the ink deeply during the printing process. The white lettering remains distinct against the fabric even after multiple cycles.
Does the design depict a specific breed or generic dog? The artwork depicts a shiba inu based on the specific orange and white markings and curled tail visible in the cartoon. This distinguishes it from generic dog designs by referencing a known Japanese breed.
Every apron is printed after you order it. Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays — please allow 1-3 business days for order processing. After processing, shipping typically takes 3-7 business days inside the United States, so the total delivery time from order placement is 4-10 business days.
US orders under US$65.00 pay a flat US$4.95 shipping; orders of US$65.00 or more ship free. Bearhap ships within the United States only — we do not ship to international addresses.
You may request a return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date, for any reason. The apron must be unopened, unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. We refund the item price in full to the original payment method — the original US$4.95 shipping fee is not refundable — and Bearhap covers all return shipping costs: email contact@bearhap.com for a free return label.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
