Gulf Mexico Apron Featuring a Light Blue Sea Turtle is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
gulf mexico apron displays 'THE GULF OF MEXICO' and a stylized sea turtle to deliver a pun about resilience. The phrase 'BE SALTY AND RESIST' reads as a play on the word resist, meaning to endure harsh conditions like ocean tides. Wearing it puts a determined attitude across the front panel, and coastal residents or marine enthusiasts feel it was made for them.
The Print, Up Close
White text arches across the top reading 'THE GULF OF MEXICO' above a central light blue sea turtle. The turtle features a minimalist design with internal geometric patterns rendered in light blue against the black fabric background. White text flanks the turtle with 'ESTD' on the left and '1550' on the right. Below the creature, the phrase 'BE SALTY AND RESIST' appears in white capital letters. This composition ties together maritime iconography with a humorous message about endurance.
Made For This Crowd
This gulf mexico apron appeals to those who appreciate marine life and clever wordplay. It serves as a thoughtful gift for cooks who love the ocean or anyone needing a sturdy kitchen companion. The generous cut accommodates various body types while providing reliable protection for clothing during messy cooking tasks.

What are the dimensions of the neck strap? The adjustable neck strap measures between 20 and 30 inches to ensure a secure fit for most adults without slipping. This range allows the wearer to customize the tightness for comfort throughout long cooking sessions. How does the ink hold up to cleaning? The print remains vibrant through washes because the minimalist design uses solid blocks of color rather than fine gradients that might crack. The high contrast between the light blue and black ensures visibility even after repeated laundering. Why is this specific date printed on the apron? The year 1550 establishes a fictional founding date for the Gulf, turning the region into an established entity with its own history. This detail adds a layer of mock-documentary authenticity to the playful slogan below it.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
