Pride African Apron Featuring Young Gifted and Black is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
pride african apron features the phrase YOUNG, Gifted, AND, BLOCK where the map of Africa replaces the letter O. This stacked vertical layout uses a distressed white font and red, green, yellow, and blue triangles to celebrate heritage without humor. Wearing it signals pride in identity and intellect during Black History Month or daily life, and parents, educators, and community members reading it feel it was made for them.
What Is Printed On It
The artwork displays bold, stacked text reading YOUNG, Gifted, AND, BLOCK across the front panel. The letter O in BLOCK is substituted by a solid red silhouette of the African continent. White stars flank the word AND, while rows of colorful triangles in red, green, yellow, and blue border the top and bottom edges. The entire design utilizes a distressed texture that gives the white lettering a weathered, vintage appearance against the background.
Who Reaches For This One
This pride african apron appeals to those celebrating Black heritage, education, and cultural identity. It serves as a meaningful gift for children, siblings, or parents during February or any time they wish to honor their roots. Everyday wear at schools, workplaces, or family gatherings makes this garment a practical expression of pride and belonging.
Questions Before You Order
What are the dimensions of this apron? The body measures 28 inches wide by 34 inches long, providing ample coverage for the torso. Each waist tie is 42 inches long, allowing for a secure knot tied directly in front regardless of body size.
How does the ink hold up after washing? The distressed print style is designed to endure repeated laundering, maintaining its retro aesthetic and legibility through standard wash cycles without fading or peeling from the fabric surface.
Why is the map used instead of a letter? The red outline of Africa replaces the O in BLOCK to visually connect the phrase to the continent. This specific substitution transforms the text into a symbol of geographic origin and cultural affirmation unique to this design.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
