Root Portuguese Apron Featuring a Distressed Tree is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
root portuguese apron puts a tree design across the front panel, and the canopy filled with the USA flag sits above roots filled with the Portugal flag. Wearing it connects your cooking space to your family history, and this design was made for Portuguese Americans who live in the United States.
The Print, Up Close
The artwork centers on a tree silhouette where the upper branches display red, white, and blue stripes and stars representing the United States. The lower section shows green and red roots containing a yellow circular emblem representing Portugal. A distressed texture overlays the colors to create a weathered appearance across the canvas. This layout places the American flag elements above the Portuguese flag elements to symbolize growth from ancestral ground. The visual tells a story of origin and development without using any lettering.
Made For This Crowd
This root portuguese apron suits cooks who wish to acknowledge their ancestry while preparing food. It acts as a thoughtful gift for Portuguese Americans marking birthdays or cultural holidays. The two front pockets offer convenient storage for utensils during daily meal preparation in the home kitchen.
Before You Add To Cart
What are the pocket dimensions? Each of the two front pockets measures 8 by 7 inches and is split in the middle to hold items securely while you cook. This specific sizing provides ample room for towels or phones without adding bulk to the waist area.
How does the ink hold up to washing? The print is durable on the 10 oz cotton canvas and withstands repeated laundering without fading because the material stiffens initially before softening after three washes. This ensures the distressed texture remains intact through regular cleaning cycles.
Why is this design distinct from generic flag gear? It uniquely combines the specific layout of a tree with the USA flag in the canopy and the Portugal flag in the roots rather than displaying them separately. This arrangement creates a single unified symbol of heritage instead of two separate national identifiers.
Every apron is printed after you order it. Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays — please allow 1-3 business days for order processing. After processing, shipping typically takes 3-7 business days inside the United States, so the total delivery time from order placement is 4-10 business days.

You may request a return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date, for any reason. The apron must be unopened, unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
