Sign African American Aprons Featuring a Colorful Libra is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
sign african american aprons puts a colorful portrait of a woman with dreadlocks and sunglasses across the front panel, and the word LIBRA below it reads as a direct celebration of the seventh zodiac sign. Wearing it signals astrological pride while keeping clothes clean during cooking, and it was crafted specifically for women born between September 23 and October 22 who embrace loc'd hair and melanin.
What Is Printed On It
A vibrant cartoon-style portrait of a woman with dreadlocks dominates the upper center of the apron, rendered in shades of blue, red, yellow, pink, and orange. Her sunglasses feature a golden Libra symbol set against horizontal stripes of red, black, green, and yellow. Below the portrait, the word LIBRA appears in large, distressed block letters, each colored differently in orange, yellow, light blue, pink, and mustard yellow. This composition merges zodiac symbolism with cultural aesthetics into a single cohesive image.
Who Reaches For This One
Women who identify with loc'd hair and melanin reach for this one when they want to merge astrological identity with cultural pride. It makes sense as a birthday gift for someone born under Libra or during celebrations like Juneteenth, Kwanzaa, or Black History Month. Everyday wearers use it in kitchens where they value both function and representation, turning routine tasks into moments of self-affirmation.
Questions Before You Order
What are the pocket dimensions? Each of the two front pockets measures exactly 8 by 7 inches and is split vertically down the middle. This construction allows secure storage of small tools or towels while maintaining structural integrity during active use.
How does the ink hold up to washing? The printed design remains intact through repeated laundering because the ink bonds with the 10 oz cotton canvas fabric. After initial stiffness softens over two to three washes, the material becomes comfortable without compromising print durability.
Does the design represent a specific birth date range? Yes, the LIBRA label and accompanying symbols refer exclusively to those born between September 23 and October 22. No other zodiac sign or date range is implied by the imagery or typography present on the apron.
Every apron is printed after you order it. Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays — please allow 1-3 business days for order processing. After processing, shipping typically takes 3-7 business days inside the United States, so the total delivery time from order placement is 4-10 business days.
US orders under US$65.00 pay a flat US$4.95 shipping; orders of US$65.00 or more ship free. Bearhap ships within the United States only — we do not ship to international addresses.
You may request a return or exchange within 30 days of the purchase date, for any reason. The apron must be unopened, unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. We refund the item price in full to the original payment method — the original US$4.95 shipping fee is not refundable — and Bearhap covers all return shipping costs: email contact@bearhap.com for a free return label.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
