Space Bear Apron Featuring a Green Tardigrade Curled Inside is printed on a black canvas apron — one size, made to order and shipped within the United States.
space bear apron puts a green alien curled inside a colorful astronaut helmet across the front panel, and the image reads as a tardigrade surviving in zero gravity. Wearing it signals appreciation for extremophile biology and science humor, and biology students, teachers, and microbiology fans reading about water bears will feel this was made for them.
The Print, Up Close
A green tardigrade curls tightly inside the visor of a yellow and blue astronaut helmet. Pink accents highlight the side connectors and top stripe while three distinct planets float around the exterior. Small white stars scatter across the purple background inside the glass pane. This cartoon style emphasizes the creature's segmented body and tiny claws against the protective gear. The design belongs to space biology and extreme environment research rather than fantasy.
Made For This Crowd
Microbiologists and biology students notice the specific anatomy of the water bear first when viewing this product. Gifting this space bear apron to a lab partner or teacher celebrates their specific passion for science. It is worn during lab work, lectures, or science fairs to show active pride in extremophile study.
Before You Add To Cart
What are the pocket dimensions on this apron? Each front pocket measures 8 by 7 inches and is split in the middle for easy access. The 10 oz cotton canvas fabric starts stiff but softens after two or three washes to provide a comfortable fit against the body without restricting movement during long shifts. Will the colorful print survive repeated washing? The ink is durable enough to handle standard laundering because the 10 oz cotton canvas holds the pigment securely. You can wash it with cold water and tumble dry without fear of the yellow, blue, pink, or green fading quickly over time. Does this design represent a real biological organism? Yes, the curled figure is a tardigrade, also known as a water bear or sea bear. Unlike fantasy aliens, this microscopic extremophile is famous for surviving actual outer space conditions and extreme environments on Earth.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print — press from the back if you need to. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The ink is water-based and cures into the fabric, so it will soften with the canvas rather than peel off it.
